This report, produced originally in France under the title "TRIER" (Travail de Recherche Information Enseignement en Réseau), focuses on collaborative networking in the area of research and education.
The starting point is a clarification of some pre-requisites needed for collaborative work.
Some experiences under way in various countries are then presented.
The report ends with a brief list of possible services to be provided through the network and of resources available on the Web.

4) Tools: list of addresses, courses and various resources available on the Web.
5) References: list of documents accessed for the drafting of this report.
